This site is designed for teachers. It includes:

  • Video presentations with power point files --providing background for educators as well as classroom material.  (Teachers, who so wish, can earn Prof Development Hours,, for viewing the presentations independently and submitting Teaching Reflections, but this is not a requirement. Directions are provided on the site.)
  • Book discussion groups, often on titles that can be read with students, but also providing overviews of history or literature for teachers. Discussion is asynchronous. (Participation can be for Prof Development Hours, if so desired, but this is not a requirement for participation)
  • Courses, consisting of a sequental series of video presentations and readings, along with discussion boards, on topics of interest. Discussion is asynchronous, except in the case of webinar presentations.(Participation can be for Prof Development Hours, if so desired, but this is not a requirement for participation.)
  • **An archive of previous Book Groups and Courses is maintained on the site for teacher reference. (Professional Development Hours are, however, NOT awarded for Book Groups or Courses that have ended.)
